01. back in the flow
2025 was a year for the record books: high productivity and poor health.
As briefly mentioned in November, I had a probable thyroid storm while in Hawai'i that resulted in a diagnosis of hyperthyroidism. At first feeling I was in good care with an endocrinologist, I was actually over-prescribed a medication to treat the condition, and my concerns about debilitating side effects were preemptively dismissed. I trusted my instincts, stopped the medication after just two and half weeks and lab work confirmed my discomfort: liver toxicity. Withdrawal from Methimazole combined with a compromised liver caused weeks-long illness unlike anything I have experienced.
I’m grateful to share that I have been medication-free since December 9, the hyperthyroidism has been successfully reversed through a low-iodine diet, and my liver numbers have returned to normal.
Once energy levels returned, I reestablished work routines, refined tiny design studio's new website, and am currently reviewing behind-the-scenes operations, trying to perfect workflows across all types of projects.
If there is something that slipped through during this time? Perhaps you have a project that you're now ready to bring to fruition? Wonderful!

p.s.
On December 9, 2025, I became an Auntie for the third time! My children and nephews are all boys—Coyote, Jerico, Rhys, Wynn & Samson! I can't wait to hold Samson, smell him, listen to him coo and hear him “talk”. In the meantime, photos and videos will have to suffice.
